WarpWare raises $1.2M to expand AI-assisted spacecraft engineering
Colorado-based WarpWare closed a $1.2 million pre-seed round through SAFEs to expand its AI-enabled space-mission engineering platform. The primarily angel-funded round included Rockies Venture Club, Cowtown Angels, Aggie Angel Network, Vesper Alpha and Marlboro Lane Ventures. Its platform connects flight software, guidance, navigation and control, simulation, and testing. Funding will support agentic engineering capabilities and sales and marketing across commercial and government space markets.
The AI-market significance lies in developer tools tailored to a specialized engineering workflow. WarpWare combines reusable software capabilities with a space-specific AI harness that automatically runs multilayered tests on outputs. Engineers determine where AI participates and retain control over mission-critical decisions. This makes integration with simulation and verification central to the product's value proposition: generating software is only one part of getting an engineering output ready for use.
For investors, the concrete diligence question is whether reported adoption translates into repeatable delivery gains. WarpWare says more than 20 organizations use its platform, including programs spanning NASA science missions, cislunar missions and launch vehicles. The company says LEAP flew the full platform on its Bullfrog rocket and shortened its launch timeline by 65%; that is a company-reported result from one deployment. WarpWare also supports Argotec on NASA's MiniCOR mission. Broader evidence of delivery gains would help assess how far this specialized developer-tool business can scale.
